GP Registrars

We are a training practice and there is usually a Registrar based at the practice. These are fully qualified, very experienced doctors who are training as GPs. Their presence enhances the practice. It means that the medicine which happens at the practice has to be to a very high standard and evidence based. Usually these doctors have huge experience in emergency medicine, and are here to consolidate and enhance their consultation skills. they may also do a research project while they are here. We spend a lot of time learning and teaching in tutorials which is beneficial for all of us, and we would encourage you to consult with them.

 Everything they do is discussed and reflected upon, and you will be aiding their training. Occasionally we will request video consultation with your permission. These are to enable the registrar to reflect on his or her consultation skills.
